Kevin Weekes Is The Frank Caliendo Of Hockey Media

2 min read

Episode 347 of Spittin’ Chiclets is our last a single of the ’20-’21 season and it is a doozy. We have longtime NHL goalie and current ESPN analyst Kevin Weekes back again on the clearly show for the very first time in four yrs and he is entertaining as hell. We speak about his extended struggle to turning into a #1 NHL goalie, the mistreatment of MAF, his shift from puck-stopper to story-breaker, and a shitload extra. But the highlights of the prolonged interview are definitely Weekesy’s impressions. He completely nails them as you can see with his model of his mentor in Carolina, present-day Winnipeg head mentor Paul Maurice.

Our boy Matt Murley aka Murls aka Murr joins us for the episode (help save for the interview) and the $EBR man has some good tales from his extensive, world-trotting profession. He was in Detroit for #HockeyFest so we had him sit in with us. Also, Detroit kicked our asses so we seem like dogshit.

Speaking of tale-breaking, I regretfully failed to split this 1 when I experienced the likelihood mainly because I was gun-shy following this debacle.

Detroit was excellent. And I gotta say, my goalie set-up was aces. Significant ups to Mylec and Bauer for the game swag.

We are heading to have interview-only episodes for the rest of August and you will not be disappointed: Scott Gomez Part II, Ken Daneyko, and José Théodore will get you by way of the pet dog days. No matter if you happen to be on OG listener or just commenced this time, we thank you all immensely for the huge suppport about these last two unusual seasons. As Detroit reminded us yet yet again, you men and gals seriously are the greatest.

Now go get pleasure from Ep. 347.
